For this magazine spread, I aimed to create the most realistic design for the content of the article. I used color intentionally and kept the design professional. The red “FIGHT” text coincides with the red oil drop on the drum in the top left corner. The image highlights the vastness of the arctic landscape and uses leading lines to direct the viewer’s eyes to the title of the article. The illustration at the bottom of the right page is a simple and elegant way to showcase the contrasting outcomes of the refuge’s unknown future. This spread gives the reader a clear representation of the content of the article and subtly shows the conflict that has arisen from the issue.
