Album Cover

Circles by Mac Miller is one of my favorite albums of all time. That was a blessing and a curse with this project. I had such a clear and defined image in my head of how this album feels which made it extremely difficult to shy away from my initial designs. I went through several different concepts for several different found objects before I landed on my final design. This album has a very soft, but direct way of addressing serious emotional aspects of life and I think this album cover shows that. Mac Miller discusses how he copes with what feels like an endless circle of everyday life. A cigarette is a perfect example of how someone might cope with the hardships of life. This design is a unique way to convey the messages brought forth by the artist of the album and gives the listener an accurate look into what story will unfold in the lyrics.
