Exploration in Drawing
“Tools in Contrast” - ink & charcoal on paper - 22” x 30”
For this drawing, my classmates and I were tasked to create a complex still life of everyday objects with an emphasis on mark making. I chose to draw tools in an extremely high contrast view. This was drawn using primarily ink with some charcoal as well. My main drawing utensil was a stick from outside that was whittled down to a point. I also used some paint brushes and needles for fine details. A lot of time was spent and fun was had while creating this piece in Sara Mast’s Drawing 1 class.
